Computation, Genomics, Language,
Absurdism, Minimalism

I am a senior research fellow and lecturer in the Applied Computational Genomics Team, ACGT at the Institute of Applied Simulation, IAS at Zurich University of Applied Sciences, ZHAW. I am also heading a Master's specialisation in Applied Computational Life Sciences.

My scientific work involves various aspects —algorithmic, computational, statistical, modelling— of the pipeline from molecular sequences to phylogenies, with an emphasis on model/method assessment using real biological data. Further, I take a great interest in linguistics and art.
